Types of Oral Surgery

We offer multiple types of surgical procedures right here at our Ocala office. Some of these include:

Tooth Extractions

Our goal is to always save your tooth, making extractions our least preferred method for keeping your mouth healthy. Sometimes, however, it can become a necessity. This can be the result of a tooth being neglected for far too long or a bad injury.

We also extract impacted wisdom teeth, which are teeth that are unable to erupt from your gum on their own because there isn’t enough room. We will be able to determine if the extraction procedure is necessary through X-rays.

Root Canals

If you are experiencing severe tooth pain or extreme sensitivity, your tooth may be infected. We’re able to resolve this issue through a procedure called a root canal. While it is similar to a routine tooth filling, the main difference is the removal of the infected pulp inside the tooth.

Dental Implants

For those with missing teeth, dental implants provide an opportunity for a full smile again. An implant procedure is performed by placing a titanium screw in your jawbone that acts as an artificial tooth root. We then place a crown on top of the implant with a connector called an abutment. This will give you the appearance and functionality of a real tooth.
